KIPCO – the Kuwait Projects Company – has signed a partnership agreement with INJAZ-Kuwait – an NGO that aims to drive community service through professional volunteering engagement with youth. As per the agreement, 1000 students will be trained by KIPCO Group volunteers over the course of two academic years.

Around 30 volunteers from across the KIPCO Group are expected to take time out of their work schedules to deliver INJAZ programs to middle school, high school and university in two areas of engagement: entrepreneurship and work readiness. The programs will commence with the start of the academic year in September 2016, and continue through to June 2018.

Ms Rana Al Nibari, Chief Executive Officer of INJAZ-Kuwait said:

“We are happy to have KIPCO and its Group companies on board to support us in our mission to drive community service through professional volunteer engagement with youth. Our programs will facilitate KIPCO’s drive to help society proactively address youth challenges in Kuwait, and to enable young people to develop a sustainability-focused outlook.”

Ms Eman Al Awadhi, KIPCO’s Group Communications Director said:

“We are pleased to be working with INJAZ-Kuwait on this two-year initiative. Both KIPCO and INJAZ-Kuwait share the desire to build a prosperous society through educational opportunities, skill development, and the promotion of leadership and teamwork. In selecting the INJAZ programs for the different age groups, we focused on two areas of engagement – entrepreneurship and work readiness – and these will give our volunteers the opportunity to work directly with students and share with them knowledge that is important for them as they prepare to pursue their careers.”

The volunteers will be recruited from KIPCO, Burgan Bank, Gulf Insurance Group, OSN, United Real Estate, Qurain Petrochemical Industris and KAMCO Investment Company.
