KIPCO – the Kuwait Projects Company – was commended for its support of young Kuwaiti entrepreneurs through its recent collaboration with the Youth Empowerment Symposium (Tmkeen) on the KIPCO Tmkeen Award for Young Entrepreneurs. The award, worth US$ 100,000 in services from the KIPCO Group, was won by Ajar Online.
KIPCO’s Vice Chairman (Executive), Mr Faisal Al Ayyar, received Tmkeen representatives to discuss the impact that the award has had on the entrepreneurial community in Kuwait and means to provide more mentorship and support to businesses set up by Kuwait’s talented young people.
Commenting on this occasion, KIPCO’s Group Communications Director, Ms Eman Al Awadhi, said:
“Young people have an important role to play in the development of Kuwait’s business sector. At KIPCO, we strongly believe that the private sector must offer its support to young entrepreneurs as they pursue their passion in business. Our collaboration with Tmkeen has allowed us to engage in a dialogue with Kuwait’s talented, young business community and to understand how the collective expertise of KIPCO as a Group can be passed on to them so that they can develop and grow their businesses into more sustainable models.”
