KIPCO – the Kuwait Projects Company – has announced that the KIPCO Group will be supporting the 2015 Gulf Studies Symposium organized by the Center for Gulf Studies at the American University of Kuwait. The event, themed ‘Knowledge-Based Development in the Gulf’, will be held on 13-15 March at the university campus.
The biennial symposium, which is being held for the second time, provides a forum for worldwide Gulf scholars and researchers to discourse on timely research contributions that are particular to both the region and the field of Gulf studies.
Ms Eman Al Awadhi, KIPCO’s Group Communications Director, said:
“We are delighted to support the Center for Gulf Studies’ efforts in organizing an international academic conference of such scale. The event is an ideal platform for scholars to contribute and add value to the burgeoning field of Gulf studies. As part our Group approach, KIPCO encourages its companies to leverage opportunities to work on mutual corporate citizenship projects. Burgan Bank, Gulf Insurance Group, United Real Estate and KAMCO Investment Company are amongst the lead contributors to this important meeting.”
This year’s event will bring international and regional scholars, many of whom work in the Gulf and use their own first-hand participation in the region’s knowledge economy to carry out their research.
