KIPCO – the Kuwait Projects Company – participated in the 30th Conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students – USA Branch (NUKS-USA). The event, for which KIPCO is the Platinum Sponsor for the third year, is being held under the patronage of H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah in San Diego, California.
Addressing the students at the Opening Ceremony, Ms Eman Al Awadhi, KIPCO’s Acting Group Communications Director, said:

The ‘KIPCO Economic Forum’ was held as part of the conference. Aligned with the conference theme, ‘Taking Critical Decisions to Rectify Economic Performance’, the speakers gave an overview of Kuwait’s current economic status. During the panel discussion, it was argued that despite the strong financial surplus that Kuwait enjoys, the Gulf state requires more corrective measures to build a strong economy.
Representing KIPCO was Mr Mohammad Al Zanki, Senior Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking Group at Burgan Bank, the largest member of the KIPCO Group. He highlighted the support of Burgan Bank’s Corporate Banking Group across an extensive range of important industry sectors, and the role of banking in strengthening the State’s economic performance.
