KIPCO – the Kuwait Projects Company – has announced the appointment of Mr Osama Al Ghoussein as Senior Vice President, Banking.

Mr Al Ghoussein has over 30 years of global and regional banking experience. Before joining KIPCO, he was Senior Vice President in the Dubai office of the Swiss-based private bank, Pictet & Cie. Previous to this, Mr Al Ghoussein was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai office of Standard Chartered Private Bank. For 12 years, he was the Regional Manager Middle East for Citigroup Global Markets. Mr Al Ghoussein has also held senior positions in Qatar, Bahrain, New York and London.

Mr Al Ghoussein will join KIPCO’s banking team headed by Mr Masaud Hayat, KIPCO’s Chief Executive Officer, Banking. The team oversees the company’s holdings in the commercial and investment banking sectors currently in eight countries across the MENA region.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Hayat said:
