Dar al-Athar al-Isalmiyyah is a cultural organisation that houses the private collection of Islamic art created and fostered by Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah and his wife, Sheikha Hussah Sabah al-Salim al-Sabah, during the 1970s. The al-Sabah Collection – which comprises over 30,000 objects sourced from throughout the Islamic world and dating from the CE 1st to CE 14th century – remains the cornerstone of the organisation. KIPCO has supported the work of Dar al-Athar al-Isalmiyyah for over 30 years.
